Botox is an injection treatment used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. It can also be used to soften and improve forehead lines and crow’s feet. During the procedure, your doctor will use a thin needle to inject tiny amounts of botulinum toxin into your muscles. This procedure takes about 15 minutes and has minimal to no recovery.

You should begin to see the results of your Botox treatment three to five days after your treatment. The treated area will appear smoother and look more refreshed. After your first treatment, you may feel a slight ‘tight’ sensation or a feeling of ‘heaviness’, however, this should end within one to two weeks. You may start to notice movement to your treated areas after three months and the treatment will normally be completely worn off by five or six months. During this period you will notice a gradual return of movement. In order to maintain the look of smooth lines, more injections will be needed.
