Radiesse®
A different type of dermal filler is Radiesse®, it is not for everyone. It is made up of calcium based microspheres, suspended in a water based gel, unlike other fillers which are made up of hyaluronic acid. Radiesse® is different because it acts as a scaffold under the skin, providing structure and stimulating your own natural collagen production. The production of collagen continues for several months after your initial injection. This treatment can last up to a year.

Radiesse is injected under the skin of the back of the hand (not the palm) to enhance the appearance of the hands. Once your hands are plumped, you will no longer be able to see wrinkles, tendons or veins standing out. Each hand usually requires one syringe of Radiesse. After Radiesse is injected, it is gently massaged into place to evenly distribute the material. You may experience redness, bruising or swelling immediately and lasting for a few days. Ice should be applied to minimize bruising and you should refrain from vigorous hand use for 24 hours.
