Intense Pulsed Light or IPL (Photogenesis)
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. Also known as a “photofacial” treatment. This light treatment is effective in fading or eliminating sun spots and redness in the skin. Virtually any area can be treated. There is no recovery time for this procedure. Most people require 4-6 treatments. After each Intense Pulsed Light treatment, you will see the brown and red pigmented areas of your face gradually lighten and start to disappear. Most patients will wait till after summer to have this treatment. You should avoid prolonged sun exposure for two weeks prior as well as after this treatment.
